CSAE 2019 Award Winners – Congratulations

Congratulations to the following CSAE Trillium Network members who recently won CSAE awards.

2019 Honorary Award of Excellence

Catherine Cummings, CAE, Executive Director, International Alliance of ALS/MND Associations

The Honorary Award of Excellence is the highest award granted by CSAE. It recognizes exceptional service not only to our association but to the sector at large over a period of at least 10 years. This year’s recipient has contributed in so many ways to the association sector.  She excels at connecting the right people with each other and is extremely generous at doing so. If you’ve met her at an event and talked about something you were working on, she likely responded with, “have you met?” and then promptly introduced you to exactly the person you needed to meet. She is generous with her time, having volunteered on various task forces, committees and boards at CSAE and throughout the not-for-profit sector.  She’s been an active volunteer with CSAE since the mid-1990s contributing in a wide variety of ways including on the CAE Task Force, the CSAE Board of Directors where I had the privilege of working with her, the nominating committee in 2018 and is currently serving on the CSAE’s Trillium network council.

With a huge smile, she is always ready to lend an ear, share a story, and pay it forward.
