Refocus on Strategy

Refocus on Strategy is Halmyre’s new campaign launched this spring to help association leaders get inspired. It’s a rally call for those determined to succeed in current times with more positive thinking, less pandemic panic.
Halmyre President, Christine Saunders, explained that she called her new project “Refocus on Strategy” to, in a small but meaningful way, help ensure the opposite wasn’t happening in associations today.
“I was concerned that association leaders would be overly focused on the wrong things, like cutting and urgent decisions that cause a retreat. I just wanted to get people talking, inspired by peer support, about how they can pivot from a focus on operational change to keeping an eye on the horizon.”
Christine reached out for inspiring face-to-face interaction the only way she could. Zoom!
In three weeks, Halmyre produced and posted three association case studies that focus on strategic thinking and organizational progress made by our association peers during COVID-19. More Refocus on Strategy videos are on the way.
Halmyre’s professional looking videos are unapologetically not professionally produced at all – inasmuch as Christine’s team did not have their usual standards for broadcast- quality video cameras, lighting, sound or make-up. However, a split screen capture, a Zoom meeting invite and desktop editing gave the Halmyre team the kind of upbeat content their clients and social media networks need.
In this issue of FORUM, Christine Saunders joins us to share trailers of those videos including links to the full-length interviews with association leaders who, like Christine herself, are no strangers to CSAE Trillium members.
Christine introduces her Refocus on Strategy special guests and the highlights of their special messages of innovation, leadership and strategic fundamentals despite the time of crisis.
