Organizational Update from the National Office
The current global pandemic has impacted so many associations and businesses around the world. To support CSAE’s operational health, some difficult decisions have been made and the network support contracts for BC, Ottawa-Gatineau and Trillium are winding down. Unfortunately, this means that Tracy Blyth will be concluding her management of the network over the next few months. Tracy has been a tremendous asset to CSAE and to our members. We are looking forward to recognizing her many contributions to this organization in the near future. Members will continue to receive support from Tracy through July and will be fully supported by CSAE thereafter.
Regional networks remain a vital part of CSAE and will play an important role in the recovery and rebuild of the sector. Network councils and committees continue to be active and will remain so throughout the operational adaptations. Members can continue to expect dedicated support from CSAE and value for their membership in the short and longer terms.
Given the continued restrictions on in-person events and the unpredictable path of COVID-19, CSAE has been adapting to support the networks in innovative ways. Network events have moved online and the Summer Summit committee has reimagined and shifted this event to a virtual environment. CSAE has been carrying out a number of new activities to assess and respond to member needs, including focused advocacy work, impact surveys and a shift of the annual conference to a virtual platform. The needs of all CSAE members remain the priority and we look forward to the time when we can all reconnect, network and learn together in person.
