Getting to Know Your Trillium Council – Jennifer Traer, CAE

CSAE Trillium Council represents members across our regional network. This series of articles will allow you to get to know the volunteers who make up the 2021 Council. Each Council member was asked to answer questions about their professional and personal lives – to share a little of themselves. Our second Council profile is of Jennifer Traer, CAE.

Jennifer Traer, CAE, is a passionate professional who has worked in the non-profit sector for over 14 years. Connect with Jennifer on LinkedIn.

When asked about her motivation to join the Council, Jennifer stated:

I joined council to increase my network and give back to CSAE.

When asked what she wished all members knew about the Council, Jennifer responded:

The passion and dedication each council member brings in further events and the betterment of Trillium. Trillium is always at the forefront of each discussion and decision.

Other than Council, Jennifer is also involved in the following committees:

Jennifer is the Chair of the Trillium Membership Committee, Co-Chair of the Trillium Awards Committee, and a member of the Trillium Winter Summit Committee. Jennifer is also a mentor with CSAE.

When asked what three words her best friend would use to describe her, Jennifer had the following to say:

Dedicated, loyal, courageous.

When asked what she likes to do when she has 30 minutes of free time, Jennifer responded:

Get outside for a quick walk, run or trip to the corner store to stock up on some candy!

Jennifer’s proudest accomplishment is:

Being a working mother. Learning how to juggle work, motherhood, and everything in between, has moulded me into who I am today.

And one thing that people would be surprised to know about Jennifer is:

I have fallen hard for Peloton over the last year and it’s become a piece of my daily routine.

Jennifer is a dedicated passionate volunteer with CSAE and it has been a pleasure getting to know her a little better. We look forward to ‘introducing’ you to the other members of the Trillium Network Council over the next several issues of FORUM.
