The summer is here and that means the kids are finally out of school! Ha ha – just kidding – the kids have been out of school forever (it seems), family vacations are now local adventures and our outdoor space is getting a lot more attention. I applaud all of you who have adapted so well to our current lifestyles – both personal and professional. And for those having difficulty – I encourage you to keep connected with friends, family and colleagues – especially your Trillium family!
This issue of Forum is significantly focused on COVID-19 issues. Various experts have shared their thoughts and experiences as the entire industry revisits strategies for coping, reinvention and ultimately survival. It’s during times of upheaval when we draw on our inner strength and relationships with each other to emerge even stronger.
And so we soldier on…sharing ideas on membership recruitment during a pandemic, launching online AGMs, creating virtual trade shows, finding ways to connect and keep relevant. I’m very proud to be part of such a resilient group.
Finally, this issue of Forum includes various tributes to Tracy Blyth and Chris Buttler. Our Trillium network programs will miss Chris’s smiling face and calming nature, and Tracy’s guidance, expertise and most of all friendship. Enjoy the tributes!
Stay safe, stay healthy, and may your wi-fi always be stable.
