Table Topics Morning Workshop
Table Topics Morning Workshop – A PDX Event Fostering Innovation & Ideas Generation
Wednesday, November 30, 2016
9:00 am – Noon
Holiday Inn Toronto Yorkdale
3450 Dufferin Street, Toronto, ON M6A 2V1
Early Bird Registration Deadline: November 9, 2016
Think back to the last conference you attended… remember the conversations you had with a colleague over lunch or in the hallway between sessions. Recall looking back and saying: “I am so happy I had a chance to discuss that issue with a colleague, I got some great ideas that we can implement.” We’ve all experienced these great, informal learning moments.
Now think ahead to – November 30, 2016 – 9:00 am – at the Holiday Inn Toronto Yorkdale, when the concept of unstructured learning will drive the CSAE Trillium Chapter’s Table Topics.
Table Topic sessions are facilitated by your peers. The best learning takes place the more people get involved and share their knowledge about what works for them.
You have the option of sitting back and learning but getting involved, asking questions and sharing will create the richest learning environment. It’s not about one person “teaching” or “presenting” though you may have some sessions which can turn out that way. Each session is unique. You have the power to be as involved as you want to be and you also have the power to “vote with your feet” if a session you’re attending does not seem beneficial to you – you are welcome to check out a different one. After all, there will probably be 4-5 different sessions running at the same time.
Participation
Each topic will be presented 4 times during the morning and is facilitated by an expert in that field. Each session will last 30 minutes with a short presentation by the facilitator and followed by questions. Bring your questions. Get ready to learn.
Table Topics include
Membership: How to Properly Utilize the Life Cycle of the Member facilitated by Erin Roberts, Zzeem
