Awards galas are always exciting, in that we all love to see the hard work and industry contributions of our friends and peers recognized. While it’s impossible to perfectly replicate the energy of in-person awards ceremonies in an online format, the CSAE Trillium Awards Committee pulled off an engaging, fun, and memorable virtual event! Hats off to you all!
The past year has been one of significant upheaval. “Pivot” has become a 4-letter word for most of us, and isolation has made it clearer who among us are more introverted (ie. Managing quite nicely, thank you) or more extroverted (ie. Climbing the walls). Regardless of which category you most identify with, never has being a member of CSAE Trillium proven to be more of a benefit. The work the volunteers across all networks have done to keep people connected and informed has been of the utmost importance.
For many of us, opportunities to connect virtually have been a true blessing, and those who have worked behind the scenes to make them happen? Well, to describe them as superheroes is not an exaggeration. There couldn’t have been a better time than National Volunteer Week to recognize the heroes among us who don’t wear capes!
It was so wonderful to get a chance to enjoy some camaraderie, have some laughs, and celebrate the volunteerism of some truly amazing people in our industry! Congratulations once again to all of the nominees and finalists. This group endlessly inspires by all they’ve done to give back to our industry. Thank you, and bravo!
